Legal Aid Queensland is an independent statutory authority that provides legal help to financially and socially disadvantaged Queenslanders. We are jointly funded by the state government for civil and criminal law matters and the federal government for family law matters.
We are the state's largest criminal law practice and employ over 400 staff in 14 offices located throughout Queensland.
