Legal Aid Queensland provides legal information, advice and representation in family, civil, and criminal law matters. Our priority is ensuring as many Queenslanders as possible have access to quality legal services.
Our employees are passionate about what they do and work tirelessly to help clients overcome the hurdles that would normally see them unable to access legal help. We also have an extensive network of preferred suppliers — private law firms who provide legal aid services to ensure Queenslanders have multiple points of access to legal assistance.
Our clients are at the centre of what we do. We help some of the most vulnerable, marginalised and disadvantaged in Queensland — people who face multiple difficulties such as poverty, homelessness, mental health issues, drug addictions and challenges with literacy. We understand each case comes with a unique set of challenges, and so we provide a tailored service to each individual to help them tackle their legal problems.
