Vacation clerkship

Applications have now closed for 2008 vacation clerkships program.

Our vacation clerkship is a two-week work experience program held in our Brisbane office during the summer university break. In 2008 the vacation clerkships will run from Monday 24 November until Friday 5 December.

This usually suits candidates who are not yet in their final year of law and want to get an understanding of the work done by Legal Aid Queensland, before deciding where they will apply for articles or a position.

The vacation clerkship involves placement with a team and being involved in the team's work. Vacation clerks attend a full seminar program, which provides information about work done in other parts of the office from the practitioner's view-point.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer vacation clerkships in our regional offices.

If you're interested in joining our vacation clerkship program, simply apply online by emailing your cover letter, CV and academic transcript to careers@legalaid.qld.gov.au
