How to apply

To apply for an advertised position you need to submit the following:

1. a completed Legal Aid Queensland Application for Advertised Vacancy form
   Application for Advertised Vacancy form - PDF format (15k) or
   Application for Advertised Vacancy form - MS Word format (31k)
   
   Alternatively, you can include the following details in your covering letter:
   • the title of the role and the vacancy number
   • any assistance required (eg access/mobility/interpreter) to attend an interview
   • a declaration stating that:
     • to the best of your knowledge and belief, all the information in your application is true and correct
     • you are prepared to allow Legal Aid Queensland to contact the referees you have nominated for job related reference purposes
     • if you are a non-Australian citizen, you are prepared to produce proof of legal entitlement to work in Australia.


2. a completed EEO Applicant Profile form (optional)
   EEO Applicant Profile form - PDF format (7k) or
   EEO Applicant Profile form - MS Word format (21k)

4. your resume, including the names, positions and telephone contact numbers of two current work-related referees
   
   
5. a statement addressing each of the selection criteria
   
   Note: All applicants must address the selection criteria contained within the role description for each advertised vacancy. In the Public Sector more emphasis is placed on the responses to the selection criteria than the resume. This is part of the merit based selection process.
