Free legal information and advice may be available through the Queensland Public Interest Law Clearing House (QPILCH) to Queenslanders whose businesses were damaged in recent floods and cyclones. QPILCH is a community legal centre which operates a pro bono referral service to support people who are ineligible for legal aid and who cannot afford private legal assistance.

• you have insufficient means to afford legal services at normal charging rates; and
• your matter has legal merit.

QPILCH assesses and refers applications for legal assistance to law firms and barristers willing to act on a pro bono or speculative basis.
