Our Rural and Regional Strategy recognises that people living in remote and rural areas do not have the advantages of urban Queenslanders in accessing services. The strategy ensures that Legal Aid Queensland's legal assistance is given on an equitable basis throughout the state. 

We achieve this by providing the following services:

• Free legal information - by telephone 1300 65 11 88, the legal information area of this website or by contacting your local community organisation.
• Legal advice is also available - by telephone 1300 65 11 88, videoconference and face-to-face.
• Local lawyers may be able to represent you in court - find out more.
• 14 Legal Aid Queensland offices throughout Queensland.
• Support to community access points across the state.
• Outreach services to remote communities through the Western Queensland Justice Network.
• A number of specialist services including the Farm and Rural Legal Service.
• A network of private practitioners (our preferred suppliers) that provide legal help and do work on our behalf.

The Rural and Regional Strategy also monitors and aims to improve service delivery throughout Queensland.
