Who is a child and young person?
Legal Aid Queensland follows the definition in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child that says a child is someone under 18 years of age.
Did you know?
Queensland is the only state or territory in Australia to deal with 17-year-olds as adults in the criminal justice system.
