Legal Aid Queensland’s Cairns office is relocating to Level 2, Cairns Square, 42-52 Abbott Street, Cairns.

The Cairns Legal Aid office will start operating from this new location on Monday 14 November 2011.

The postal address, phone and fax numbers for the Cairns Legal Aid office will remain the same.

“Our new Legal Aid office is conveniently located in the centre of the Cairns CBD, close to public transport and other amenities,” Cairns Principal Solicitor Trish Price said.

Ms Price said people could visit the Cairns Legal Aid office for face-to-face legal help or call Legal Aid Queensland on 1300 65 11 88 for the cost of a local call to access legal information by phone.

People can also access an extensive range of free legal information, factsheets and self-help guides on the Legal Aid Queensland website www.legalaid.qld.gov.au on common legal issues such as tenancy, debt, consumer protection, family separation, child protection, domestic violence, youth justice and going to court.
