Community legal education grants announced

Congratulations to Refugee and Immigration Legal Service, SouthWest Regional Legal Assistance Forum, Queensland Advocacy Incorporated, ADA Australia, Caxton Legal Centre and Northside Connect who have been awarded a Community Legal Education Collaboration Fund grant to deliver projects that will help Queenslanders understand their legal rights.

People in detention with disabilities, families, advocates, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, school aged young people in regional and remote areas, older people, people who have experienced coercive control, and DV and sexual assault support workers will all benefit from the projects funded this year.

Projects range from mini-musical performances, legal information sessions, publications and guides, education packages, training modules and podcasts.

The fund is a Legal Aid Queensland initiative funded by the Queensland Government’s Department of Justice and Attorney-General.
