Please see the latest update from the Department of Children, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs about visiting arrangements for Brisbane Youth Detention Centre and West Moreton Youth Detention Centre:
- The visitor restrictions outlined in previous notices have been eased from 6:00am today (23 July 2021) and face to face visits can resume again.
- Queensland has declared New South Wales as a COVID-19 hotspot as of 1:00am this morning, 23 July 2021.
- Queensland will retain a border zone—border zone residents within New South Wales may enter Queensland without an exemption or having to quarantine. These border zone residents will not be permitted to enter a Queensland youth detention centre.
