How RAILS can help
Unrepresented Asylum Seekers
The Unrepresented Asylum Seekers (UAS) project aims to meet people's need for basic legal support: advice available at West End office & Indooroopilly Uniting Church.
West End office or by telephone: free legal advice by appointment or by phone: call 07 3846 9300.
Indooroopilly Uniting Church: free legal advice and assistance including:
- linking you to services for everyday living assistance.
- no appointment necessary - attend between 2pm and 5pm on Thursdays at 74 Station Road, Indooroopilly, opposite to the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre.
TPV/SHEV re-application clinics: assistance writing the statement for your temporary protection visa application: Tuesday nights from 6pm to 8pm at the West End office. Appointments are essential: call 07 3846 9333.
Legal advice and assistance to people who are no longer in a relationship with their sponsor for a partner visa and have experienced family violence, have a child of the relationship or when the sponsoring partner has died.
Legal advice and representation to people who fear for their lives and the lives of their families and are applying for protection visas in Australia.
Refugee Family Reunion
Assistance for refugees who now live in Australia to sponsor displaced family members to join them: various locations as well as at the West End office.
Community Support Program
Australian citizens or permanent residents can sponsor people known to them or others to come to Australia.
