Work for us

Legal Aid Queensland's role is to provide legal assistance to financially disadvantaged people throughout Queensland. At Legal Aid Queensland we aim to maintain the rule of law, protect legal rights, contribute to the efficiency of the justice system and reduce the social impacts of legal problems.

Our vision is to be a leader in a fair justice system where people are able to understand and protect their legal rights.

We are one of Queensland's largest law practices employing over 600 staff in 14 offices across the state. While most of our work is focused on providing legal services in criminal, family and civil law, our workforce includes many other roles including social workers, policy officers, grants officers, and roles in IT, HR, finance, procurement and communication, along with our contact centre and front counter staff – to name just a few!
