This guide is for lawyers who appear in the Childrens Court so they can be aware of the specific provisions of the Youth Justice Act, its principles and procedures. The guide was developed for the use of both defence and prosecution lawyers. Practitioners must be aware of and comply with Legal Aid Queensland's Best practice guidelines for working with children and young people.
