Legal Aid Queensland's Law Graduate Program — welcome to a career that matters!
Graduates are eligible to apply for our law graduate program if they have successfully completed their law degree and have not yet practised as a lawyer for more than 6 months.

Want to do interesting and rewarding work? That's what you'll be doing as a graduate lawyer with Legal Aid Queensland. You'll get to do varied work that will give you the right mix of skills and experience to build a successful legal career. Whether you're interested in criminal law, family law or civil law, your career will be on the right track working with one of Queensland's largest law firms.
We're offering successful applicants a 2-year temporary contract with Legal Aid Queensland.
In year 1, you will spend 6 months in a criminal law placement and 6 months in a family and civil law placement. In year 2, graduates will have the opportunity to develop more specialised skills through a 12-month program focusing on developing the skills needed for successful practice in their chosen specific area of law.
