New Supreme Court Practice Direction 6 of 2025 - Bail Applications

The new Supreme Court Practice Direction 6 of 2025 - Bail Applications came into effect on Wednesday 19 November 2025.

Please note, this practice direction is for bail applications to the Brisbane Supreme Court only. 

Legal Aid Queensland will review and update our grants fee structure according to the new Supreme Court practice direction and will let you know when the updated funding information is available. 

In the meantime, if you are providing additional services at the Supreme Court, such as an extra mention fee (relevant for solicitors only), we request that you apply for an extension of aid through Grants Online.
