Aid is approved to provide preliminary advice about your client's DNA historic case review where the DNA sample has not been re-tested. This grant of aid provides for a solicitor to: - contact the client - peruse case, specifically the DNA evidence presented during proceedings - provide preliminary advice to the client regarding potential outcomes and whether any further legal avenues exist - notify the DPP if contact has not been able to be made with the client. This is a fixed fee grant of aid.
