This grant of legal assistance includes: - Taking client instructions - Communication and negotiation with the other party - Preparing: - the application or response to an application for a protected confidences direction - any affidavit or other supporting material - any notice of risk of child abuse - for court attendance - Peruse material filed by the other party - Filing documents - Attendance at court This is an all work on clause grant of aid and covers all work required. Claims can be made up to the maximum fee. Funding for parties in family law matters is subject to a cost cap. Refer to Guideline 18 – Family law costs management.

This grant of legal assistance allows for your solicitor to take your instructions, prepare the application or response to an application for a protected confidences direction and attend court. The maximum professional fee Legal Aid will pay your lawyer at this stage is $459.00 plus disbursements of $20.00. Funding for parties in family law matters is subject to a cost cap.
