Legal aid has been granted for the Independent Children’s Lawyer and counsel to attend $$ additional days for a family law appeal. This is a maximum fee grant of aid. Claims can be made for actual time spent up to the maximum. Grants of legal assistance in family law matters are provided in stages. This stage allows attendance at court for additional days of appeal.

Practitioners must claim for the actual time spent on a matter, up to the maximum allowable.
 
Counsel attendance at appeal (family law)
Counsel is only entitled to claim the court attendance component for additional days of appeal if the matter proceeds to additional days and they represent the client or Independent Children’s Lawyer at the additional days of appeal.
