Legal aid has been granted for new counsel to attend trial in an Independent Children’s Lawyer matter in circumstances where counsel was replaced at trial stage.

Explanatory Notes

Counsel attendance at trial (family law)

Counsel is only entitled to claim the court attendance component for day one of trial if the matter proceeds to day one of trial and they represent the client or Independent Children’s Lawyer at trial.
